MANEUVER OF MOORING AND UNMOORING

LEGAL BASIS, DEFINITION OF MOORING and DEFINITION OF UNMOOTING.

LEGAL BASIS:

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 65 OF THE REGULATION OF THE LAW OF PORTS, THE PORT SERVICE OF MOORING AND UNMOORING OF LINES, FOR THE MOORING AND UNMOOTING OF VESSELS, WILL BE PROVIDED BY INDIVIDUALS OR LEGAL PERSONS, WITH THE PERMISSION OF THE SECRETARY OR THAT THEY HAVE CELEBRATED A COMMERCIAL CONTRACT WITH THE PORT ADMINISTRATOR.

DEFINITION OF MOORING:

MOORING SERVICE IS UNDERSTOOD BY THAT PORT SERVICE WHOSE OBJECT IS TO COLLECT THE LINES THAT SERVE AS MOORINGS OF A SHIP, CARRY THEM AND FIX THEM IN SOME PLACE OR OBJECT PROVIDED FOR THAT PURPOSE, WHICH COULD BE MOORING HOOKS, BOTTLES, MOORING BUOYS, FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE PORT PILOT, SHIP CAPTAIN, OR THE OFFICER IN CHARGE OF THE MANEUVER.

DEFINITION OF UNBOOTING:

IT IS UNDERSTOOD BY THE UNMOORING SERVICE OF SHIPS, THAT PORT SERVICE WHOSE OBJECT IS TO RELEASING THE MOORINGS OF AN OBJECT PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE, WHICH COULD BE MOORING HOOKS, BITTS, MOORING BUOYS, FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE PILOT, CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP, OR THE OFFICER IN CHARGE OF THE MANEUVER.
